I have a tomato plant... and I know how to use it

I am one step closer to becoming an organic gardener. I just got a book on growing fruits and veggies in Florida and am in the process of reading it. A lot of it doesn't apply to me now, I'm only growing things in containers. But my chives are sprouting, my basil is growing, and my pepper plants are getting big! All the herbs I have are doing quite well. It's really fun. I'm really interested in companion gardening as well as growing some heirloom varieties. And I'm hoping the presence of my bad monster cat will keep away the squirrels.
